Digital Study - White Tiger

Another quickie today. This was a 20 minute sketch. White fur is a tricky thing to paint. So I thought I would work from the series of white tiger photos I took. I just wanted a simple face to concentrate on the color. So that's the reason for the straight on head shot. This has a long way to go to look good, but as a study, I've taken it as far as I plan to. :)

This was done entirely in Photoshop CS3.

Thanks for the share Gene. Your trip to he zoo must have been inspirational to say the least. Very cool little theme you have going. By the wy, I like the darker background for your blog page. Makes your art pop even more than usual.

Gene has gone to the dark side (blog wise that is). The blog background does contrast well with the white tiger.

Thanks Royce! I love drawing animals. Probably because it's not something I do often enough and I'm not very good at it. I plan on going back with my sketchbook next time and just spending the day drawing. Glad you like the new layout. Google introduced new customizable layouts two days after I moved back. Maybe they were trying to make me happy. :)

Thanks Gary!

Yeah Shane, it's hard not to draw a white tiger face and not think of Mike. Still miss him and his work.
