Crystal! (Please don't call her Inhuman)

9:30pm Eastern Standard Time, did anyone think I would miss today? :)

Here is another Canson Cutie. I really don't know much about Crystal but I do like her design. The hair band works for me for some reason. She was done in ink, color pencil on 11" x 17" Canson Mi-Teintes Paper.

And she is eBay bound as I type this. :) I hope everyone had a good weekend!

Gene,

What is Mi-Teintes paper? Colored artist board? The yellow board (if that is what it is) really works great with the figure! Funny, I haven't followed Crystal much since the FF days until I picked up the first issue of the "War of Kings" miniseries. Apparently Black Bolt now rules the Kree and Crystal was about to marry Ronin to cement the relationship between the Kress and Inhumans until...ah, no spoilers. The only important thing here is that you have done another great hot red head!

Most excellent choice for the pinup, Gene. Thaat brings up a question. Is there a process that you go through to choose your subjects or does the inspiration just "happen?" There aren't too many Crystal pinups out there unless someone is posting them in places I don't know about. Whatever the reason, I am glad you did her, and I agree with Gary, the yellow paper stock is perfect for her. Your use of the white to highlight the figure is spot on perfect.

Gary, This is just a particular make of Canson paper. It's two sides have different texture and it comes in a variety of colors. Glad you liked her, thanks. :)

Thanks Royce. To choose subjects I have a list of names on my desk. Anytime I think of a character or see one that I might want to draw, I write down the name. This gives me a list to work from at a later date. The only problem I run into is there are some characters I like to draw over (Kara) and over (Kara) and over. (Black Canary. Oh and Kara) :)
