Conventionless, Convention Sketches - The Sequel

After looking over my September schedule I found I have room for more sketch requests. The last time went so well and I had such a good time doing them. The variety of requests were great and it seems everyone was happy with their artwork. So here we go again. The only difference this time I am offering the sketches here first instead of listing it on eBay. Here is the official description for the sketches:

CONVENTIONLESS, CONVENTION SKETCHES: I am taking 20 requests for sketches for the month of September. The price is $50.00 (plus shipping, insurance, etc.) for a single character/no background, inked on 11" x 17" Bristol Board. See above art for examples. You may have to supply references if I am not familiar with the character(s) you are requesting.

Artwork will be shipped out every Friday and all artwork will be completed by September 30. When your request is completed, I will email the image to you and post it to this blog. Please add the following for shipping and insurance costs: 10.00/one request, $15.00/2-3 requests, $20.00/4 requests. PayPal and personal checks will be accepted. Checks will have to clear my bank before artwork is started. My PayPal account is gene_gonzales@mac.com. If you have any questions please contact me before you send any money. Thanks!

Gene,

So, do you simply want us to send payment via PayPal/check first to get a spot before this hits ebay?

Thanks!

Gary

Hi Gary, this might not even hit ebay. Depends on how it goes here. I just figured I would offer it here to everyone who checks out the blog first. If there are a lot of open spots after a few days, I might put the balance on eBay. Already three have been picked up.

Gene,

Ok, I will take one commission!. Hopefully you can fill up the list and avoid the ebay fees!!!

By the way, you are doing a lot of Labor on Labor Day!!! Also, September 1 roughly puts you 2/3rds of the way of posting on your blog at least once a day! Keep going, you are going to reach your goal!

Hi Gary, Cool. I look forward to your request. I did work over the weekend. I had the Price Guide deadline coming up this week and another milestone next week on a big job. I wanted to get ahead while no one was emailing me and asking for stuff. :) I did notice I was past the 2/3rd mark. I meant to post about it. Thanks for mentioning it. :)

Gene, put me down for two sketches please. Cleaning up a flooded basement the past few days and haven't been around much here on the blog, but I have enjoyed catching up!

I will paypal you in a few minutes and get back to you on the subjects.

Hey Royce, sorry to hear about your basement. I'm sure there was some damage but I hope it was minimal. Not the way you wanted to spend Labor Day, I'm sure.

Royce,

Sorry to hear about the basement. Hopefully no comic related materials/artwork were damaged!

No artwork, but about 700 books are a little too soggy for my tastes...lol. Comic bags aren't waterproof it seems and those boxes act like thirsty wicks! Also lost my computer as it was plugged in and running at the time the wave hit it. Fried the motherboard, so it will be fun building another one, which will NOT sit on the floor! Thanks for asking.
