Supergirl - Sketch #4

You can never go wrong with asking me to draw Supergirl. Always a favorite. Thanks Chris for the commission! This is ink on 11" x 17" Canson Bristol Board.

In addition to doing this piece, I also did 8 spot illustrations for another job. Pretty full day. That's not including the trip to Lowes to pick up pavers for the new walkway to the front door. Whew! Yes, a full day indeed. Back to the grind tomorrow gang!

I'm partial to Kara's '70s-vintage costume (the one with the V-neck blouse and the hot pants), but you make this one look terrific too, Gene.

A fun drawing!

I agree with Swanshadow, the 70's version rocked and is my personal favorite, but then any incarnation of Supergirl is fine by me anytime anywhere.
Gene, you have mentioned many times of your affinity for Supergirl, maybe we should be voicing our desire to see you on that title ALONG WITH the Legion! Your style would gel quite nicely with our favorite Kryptonian lassie.

Great minds do think alike...I too am partial to the 70's Supergirl, thats when I really got into reading comics. As fate would have it I think we'll be seeing her at some point.....with a friend :)

But you gotta admit she's rockin that mini-skirt! Nice one Gene!

Gene,

Based on your post, you had a very busy day, yet found the time to knock out this gem. You are amazing! I am beginning to think that you came from Krypton!
