Here is the drummer of the famed rock band Josie and the Pussycats enjoying the day after a late gig. Thanks to Gary for this second Josie/beach related commission. If you search back in the blog, you will notice this one matches up with that one. This is ink on 11" x 17" Canson Bristol Board.
In other news, it looks like Hurricane Ike is heading straight for Houston. I know of a few people who visit this blog that are in the Houston area. To all of you in the path of this huge storm, stay safe and good luck.

Nice work Gene and great theme Gary! I wonder what melody Melody is listening to? She seems to be enjoying herself but had better play it safe and vacate the beach before Ike's arrival. I hear he is ruthless... at least that's what Tina says. :)
We need to find out where this beach is! Great job Gene and I like how you signed it too. Looks like I have a new favorite band :)
....and this one is all mine!!!! THANKS Gene! One more Pussycat to go for a future commission.
Yeah, let's all keep our thoughts on Texas as yet another storm heads for the Gulf Coast. Where is "Weathet Controlling Man" or Storm when you need them!
Gary
Yet another beautiful commission!
And thanks, Gene, for your kind words for those in Ike's path. I currently have 2 people (my in-laws), 4 dogs, 3 cats, and a whole mess of birds who arrived late last night, staying with my wife and me. They were under mandatory evacuation...living 4 blocks from the water will do that when a large hurricane is bearing down.
It'll be a little crazy in our 2 bed/2 bath apartment for the next few days, but I'm just glad to know everyone's safe. Thanks again for thinking of those dealing with Ike.
Brandon
I have seen and heard more Tina jokes in the last couple of days but yours is the latest. ;) (cue the snare drum) Thanks Royce!
Caladesi Island is where you will find her. Thanks Brian!
Hey Gary, we are gonna have to get Val in there. And remember, "neat, sweet, super cool, don't cha know these kitty's rule!" :)
Brandon - Thanks for posting. Great that you and your wife are able to help your in-laws. I'm sure they are appreciative. Hang in there and be safe!
