Red Sonja!

Today's post is Red Sonja. I have drawn and painted this character several times and I do not get tired of it.  This Conventionless Convention Sketch is for Eric. Thanks Eric for this and yesterday's Cavewoman! This piece is ink on 11" x 17" Canson bristol board.

MegaCon is next weekend. And while I am not going to be a guest and set up, I will be wandering the convention on Saturday. I will be bringing a portfolio of  original artwork, mostly pin-up. I hadn't thought about doing that until someone asked. So, if you will be at MegaCon on Saturday Feb 28th, and you might be interested in purchasing something, send me an email and we can make plans. Or just look for me at the convention.

Nice work, my favorite so far, from this current batch! You did a great job on both of Eric's subjects. Again, great placement of your signature.

Hey, Gene-

I'm in "section, white, table 12" if you need a place to take a break or just drop off something you don't want to carry around, stop by and I'll take care of it!

Thanks Anthony!

Hey John, Thanks for the generous offer, I may just take you up on that. Even if I don't, I will make my way to your table to introduce myself. We haven't actually met in person. Thanks!

Another winner! This batch of commissions is the best yet, I think. You are really pouring yourself into these Gene! Sonja is looking firce as well as beautiful. The down-side for this one is that seeing the Chain-mail bikini has me longing for summer already and we just are in Feb.

Gene,

I like the muscle tone of the abdominal section. The technique you used to acheive a rubble effect around her feet is also interesting and impactful. Love where you placed your signature.
