Archangel: Black Lantern - Footy Prize

Archangel © Marvel Entertainment

As a companion piece to yesterdays White Lantern Angel, we have today's mash-up of Black Lantern Archangel. This piece is also for Justin as a prize for being the overall winner in footy tipping. And as before, Alex commissioned this especially for Justin. This was done in ink and fluid acrylics on a sheet of 11" x 17" bristol board.

I just looked at the calendar and I see that Sunday will be my 1000th consecutive day of posting on this blog. Maybe. Royce, you probably should double check me on that. I'm an artist, not a mathematician. :)

This is Post #1082

I know that you only count From January 1, 2008 instead of the couple of extra days from late December 2007, so I will do the same..

2008 = 366 days (leap year)
2009 = 365 days

2010
Jan = 31 days
Feb = 28 days
Mar = 31 days
Apr = 30 days
May = 31 days
Jun = 30 days
Jul = 31 days
Aug = 31 days
Sep = 21 days so far

Total = 995 days in a row.

So # 1000 occurs in five days which falls on the 26th which is this SUNDAY!!

IF you count the extra two days in Dec 2007, your 1000th day in a row is on FRIDAY the 24th. Your call my friend. Either way, that is one REMARKABLE STREAK!!

Okay, the Archangel/Black Lantern mash-up is even better than the Angel! Love the art and the creativity!

Sorry, double posted somehow...

Thanks for double checking my numbers Royce! I do indeed call January 1, 2008 the official kick off. The other dates are "beta" test days. :)1000 days. Whew. And in just over three months, we end our third year.

Thanks Shane! I thought Alex's ideas were cool too.

Thanks Gary! And yeah, the Rays and the Yankees are really battling it out. Should be a tough finish to the end of the season.
