Supergirl © DC Comics
This costume intrigued me when I saw it. So I doodled it in my sketchbook to see how it worked and tossed some color at it in Photoshop. It looks a little like an updated design from the Mike Sekowsky run of Supergirl in Adventure Comics.

The bare knee cut outs are unique. Part of the fun of supergirl seems to be the variations of costumes!
I was thinking the same thing Gene (about the Adventure Comics run.)
Gotta admit, the reboots are generating a little excitement within me.... awakening that 11 year old little boy.
By the way, yet another costume for the theme! Bwahahahahahaha
I gotta say that I really dig the redesign. I'm looking forward to the new series. :)
Can't say I love this new costume design. My first reaction when I saw the DC cover art was that the lines on the torso and arms look more like articulation points on an action figure, not seams. That front only panty thing is pretty strange too.
Nice sketch though ;)
Gary - It can be.
Royce - I'm excited about the relaunch too. (Don't call them "reboots") Though I am confused by several things. I guess all will become clear soon. And yes, I thought about the costume theme too. :)
Chris - I'm on the fence about the costume. One of the reasons I sketched it was to try and make sense out of it.
Michael - Right there with you. As I drew her "joints" I thought they looked like articulation points. Maybe she will be like the new Superboy. One image of him made him look like a cyborg. So if she is not human, those could be mechanical joints. Thanks!
