Starfire - Canson Cutie Progress

I had a full day of work, proposals and a proposal accepted. Busy, Busy, Busy. So I only had a short time to work some color on Starfire and snap a picture of her.

More tomorrow!

This is Post #776

I am liking this one a lot! As mentioned before, the color choice for the paper is perfect and the colors you have added so far are awesome! You are definitly teasing us by the slow reveal here Gene. :)

Gene,

I am glad that your are busy, busy given the economy. Maybe a sign that the Recession is starting to turn around?

I love the "tonal work" you did on the arems, legs, etc that really gives a great 3-D quality to the piece. Little John is a lucky guy!

Have a good weekend!

Gary

Thank Royce. I will be finished Saturday at some time.

Thanks Little John!

Hey Gary, As far as being busy, it is a change from most of this year. Things got real slow. Real slow. Two major projects that I should have started in Dec last year were finally killed in June or July. That was a big chunk of my income that never happened. Fortunately as a freelancer I try to anticipate the slow times. Dead stops are something I could not plan enough for. But the last couple months are picking up from a lot of different directions.

BTW, this Starfire wasn't commissioned by Little John, he just suggested it when I tweeted for ideas one day. Starfire will be for sale when she is done. Thanks!

She's going to be incredibly beautiful when completed! I love the color choice of paper and HER EYES!

It's fascinating to see the process. I hope we can look forward to more of this!!
