SWAMP THING

A little lunch sketch for today. I like drawing Swamp Thing. I was a fan of the 1970s series but I discovered the series when Nestor Redondo was drawing it. So, while I like Wrightson's work on the series, Redondo is the man. I would love to own a Redondo Swamp Thing page. Or Rima or anything really. :) This was done in color pencil on 12" x 18" B&R Charcoal paper.

Great artist(s) and Comic series! I have a complete run and may have to re-read them some time.
Nice one Gene and it pays homage to the original Swampy and no Adrienne Barbeau in sight. Well on second thought that might not have been all bad :)

Like the way you incorporated the words "Swamp Thing" in the marsh!

A very nice [and nicely done] sketch. And done over lunch even!

Adrienne Barbeau? Maude's daughter? ;) Thanks Brian!

Thanks Gary, that was a tip of the hat to the series. They almost always had the "Swamp Thing" letters incorporated into the art. Much like Eisner's Spirit.

Thanks Craig. I try to make my lunches productive as well. :)

Thanks Royce!
