Sketchbook Sunday

Today I have been working diligently on the Emma Frost vs Ms. Marvel commission piece. It's a big one, 15" x 20". The tough part was transferring all the text that makes it look like a fight poster. Oy! :) It's coming along nicely and I have been taking digital photos of my progress for posting here later. I need to have it done by Tuesday so look for it then.

In the meantime, here are some sketches I am working on for CILM. The "Rinse, Lather, Repeat" gal you have seen. The others are just works in progress. I like the left two but don't know what to do with the right one. All were done with blue Col-Erase pencil in my sketchbook.

Got to head to the airport shortly, luckily only 5 miles away, to pick up Dakota. She comes back home after spending 2.5 weeks with her Mamaw. It will be good to have her home. We missed her and frankly, it's been too quiet around here. I don't hear the sounds of a 13-year old girl texting all the time and it's strange. :)

This may not help with the CLIM ideas but I think the last pose would make a great Catwoman.

You can take the boy out of Gotham but you can never take Gotham out of the boy, can you Brian? ;)

Gene,

Are these roughs all for the Red headed "Rinse Lather and repeat" series (note, you never said anything about this red head series, just a fantasy I suppose).

The figure on the right would make a great 1) red headed lather girl who dropped the shampoo bottle, 2) a Gonzo cutie looking for a contact lens, 3) Tigra/Catwoman/Josie ready to pounce?

Hope to see this pose (and the others) show up in a finished sketch soon!

Gary

No Gary, these are just random figures for pin-ups. No themes, red head or otherwise. :) I like your ideas for the figure on the right. Hmmmmm. Thanks!
