Scooby Doo's Velma!

This piece owes more to Linda Carellini (Velma in the Scooby Doo movies) than it does to the cartoon Velma. But hey, Velma was hot in the movie! This is Lan's request for his HeroesCon sketch. Thanks to Lan for the commission and for letting me share it early with everyone.

This is ink on 11" x 17" Strathmore Bristol Board.

How many Scoobie snacks did you munch on while drawing this one Gene? Nice!

Velma was a great choice, Lan! I'm impressed, Gene. My favorite piece you have done over the past few weeks.

Velma and the ghosts are great! Would love to see a Daphne sometime (hey, didn't Daphne have red hair???). Hmmmmm.

Dorothy Parker had it wrong, one should "make passes at girls who wear glasses!", especially Velma.

You're right Gary!

David - I made passes at a girl who wore glasses and 17 years (in August) later, I'm still married to her. But she wears blue contacts now. :)
