Christmas Cutie with Lights

As I am dealing with another bout with insomnia, I try to get work done that needs to be done. Since I still need to get my Chrismas images done, I went back to this image.

Here it is in progress. I tried to remember to take digital shots as I worked. I had started with a rough that I transfered to the watercolor paper with Col-Erase color pencils. From there I have just continued to work all over and build up color. The painting isn't done yet, as you can see I still have to add the string of lights. I will also be tweaking a few things with the Cutie too.

This is done in color pencil, ink, watercolor and some acrylic. Hopefully I will post the final tomorrow.

Always appreciate a look behind the cutain at the process. Looking great Gene. Almost a Christmas "nun" look going here....well, if you neglect the garters and hose....

Gene, This is really insightful to see the steps on the way to a masterpiece.

Have you considered doing a DVD of your approach? May be another way to sell items.

Can't wait to see the final piece soon. I will be travel over the next week starting tomorrow, but will be checking in!
