Last Sketchbook Tuesday 2008

Today I have been extremely busy...working on tomorrows image. But I managed to take some time to sketch in my sketchbook and then play with the image in Photoshop. No story behind this one, sorry. Just felt like drawing a woman from the back and then the gun was suddenly in her hand. Smoking gun, it turns out. Maybe someone here knows what just happened. :) This was done in violet Col-Erase pencil in my sketchbook with some digital colors tossed in.

Well, tomorrow is it. Don't worry, if something happens to me I have made sure that the final image for 2008 gets posted. In the mean time, here is where we were on January 1, 2008. And look who was the first to post a comment! :)

Congrats to both you and Royce for a year of fun. Can't wait to see what next year holds... after tomorrow's entry of course.

Thanks Craig. Surprisingly, it has been a very quick year. I will post more thoughts about it tomorrow. :)

Gene,

Firstly, congratulations on the 1+ year of daily posting, you are awesome!

Today's posting reminded me of the opening credits for a James Bond movie, especially with the gun!

Finally, if I recall correctly, our pal Royce is celebrating a birthday tomorrow! Have a happy one my friend!

I like the mystery surrounding this piece as well as the color choices. The smoking gun really makes the imagination churn out possibilities!

One more day to go Gene! I continue to be amazed. I made a concerted effort to be here most days and offer some support, but I did let computer problems, vacation etc keep me away a few times. I am truly impressed with your streak though. Congrats to all who have faithfully posted most days. Gary, Craig, Brian etc have been great posters and I always enjoy reading thier comments as well as viewing Gene's posts.

Thanks for the birthday sentiment Gary. I really appreciate it!

Can't wait to see tomorrow's final pic!! I know it will be special!
