Good luck with the sketch up! It is a fun tool, are you using the free download or the pro version? I have used it for some client presentations and also to generate some sketch bases for looser drawings.

Gary - Yes, non comic work. Trying to expand my skills for the "road map", visioning art I do for clients. Being able to move things in space and keep it in perspective would be a big help for me in the design and review stages.
As for the Spirit, man I love those stores. Mostly the ones after Eisner came back from the war. I still think I have the ones that Kitchen sink published in the 80s and 90s in black and white. For me, black and white is the way to read them.
