Summer Glau
We watched the two episode premiere of TERMINATOR: THE SARAH CONNOR CHRONICLES ©, and in spite of the clunky title, we liked it. The show has made our DVR list. Main reason to watch was to see River Tam, er, Summer Glau. Summer's background as a dancer really shows through in her fight scenes. Especially the bar fight in the movie SERENITY. She has a look that is very interesting. Very pretty but not conventional. I think it was some great casting to make her a Terminator. The other actors are good too, though I feel bad for the actress that has to play Sarah Connor. Stepping into the role that Linda Hamilton originated had to be tough. Above is my attempt at capturing Summer's likeness. 30 minute sketch using Prismacolor pencil on Canson Pastel paper with digital touches.

I also enjoyed the double episode premier. Hope the series holds up for us over the longer haul. You definitely captured Summer's eyes in your sketch.
Nice work on the Summer Glau sketch. I pretty much agree with your assessment of Sarah Connors Chronicles and will also be DVRing it.
Summer Glau is the bee's knees! :)
She really needs her own show. Either that or they should bring Firefly back so we could have more River.
I agree with Royce, you definitely got the eyes right. I like the use of the white shapes behind her as well. It's a nice graphic touch.
