"HULK SMASH PUNY BACKGROUND GRAPHIC!"

He just wouldn't stand in front of it. Sigh. ;)

This was commissioned by Charlie. It is mixed media on Canson Mi-Teintes paper. Thanks Charlie!

Enjoy the weekend everyone!

I love it when characters interact with titles or background elements. Well done. And your Hulk ain't bad neither.

Gene,

Quickly closing in on post 700! Wow!

Agree with Craig, love when the characters interact with the elements. I especially like the rare character/title interaction. You know, the famous Steranko cover of the Hulk, the John Byrne X-Men cover where Phoenix is smashing the X-Men title.

Have you ever done a title smashing/interaction piece?

Gary

Thanks Craig!

Gary, I remember those covers and more. But I always thought the Phoenix cover was a riff on the Neal Adams X-Men cover. Though Neal wasn't allowed to "break" the logo. I think at one point he had the X-Men strapped to the logo too. I have never had the chance to do this sort of image that has been published. Thanks!
