Kitty and Lockheed - Together again

Today's post was a piece I did for Joe on the opening page of his KITTY PRYDE & WOLVERINE hardcover. The blue end paper was perfect for Kitty's Excalibur costume. And you can never go wrong with drawing Lockheed the Dragon. This was done using ink and color pencil. Thanks Joe for another endpaper commission!

haha cute! Btw, is your sketch list full for Mini-Mega?

Yes, the blue works well for both the characters! Wonder what happened to poor old Lockheed. The X-Men stories have become very confusing......

Thanks Lan. I haven't opened up an advance list for Mini-MegaCon yet. Too soon. I will announce something here around the first of August though.

Thanks Gary. I haven't read an X-Book in so long, I have no idea what is going on. :)

I always like seeing your "phasing" pics Gene. It is amazing how some artists attempt this and get the plane of the wall wrong in respect to the drawn parts of the body. Yours sure works though!

Gary & Gene,

If you want to see Lockheed, pick up the new limited series "Lockjaw & the Pet Avengers"! It's great fun!

Hmmm...seeing this commission really makes me want to talk to Gene about getting a Kitty Caslon piece to supplement my Magik commission! Must...resist...! ;)

Awesome Lockheed, Gene! Kitty's not bad, either.

Very nice and I may just have to see what hard covers I have lying around :)

Thanks Royce!

Don't fight it Carlos, just give in to the commission. ;) Thanks!

Thanks Patman. I actually dig drawing Lockheed. :)

Thanks Brian!

Carlos -- Gene's art is a GOOD addiction!

Craig,

It's so true! I've only gotten a couple pieces from Gene thus far, but I can already see that my collection will be getting a lot bigger in the near future. I can see myself ordering a Kitty piece to pick up when I get to meet him at the Pittsburgh show! :)

Love this one Gene -- this is the only look for Kitty as far as I'm concerned! Great rendition.

Looking forward to it Carlos! :)

Thanks Karen.

Thanks John.
