Batgirl

I decided to try out the Copic Markers I bought on some of the Canson Paper I use for commissions. I will try a couple of other papers to see which one I like the best.

Marker sketches are the bomb! I love the usually beautiful Gonzo Face on Ms. Barbara. Don't know how long you have been working in grayscale, but this is beautiful Gene. Between inking, grayscaling and full out painting, you will be one versatile in-demand artist at Heroes!!

Thanks Royce. This is the first time I have worked with the Copic Markers. I found better paper to work on since doing the Batgirl piece earlier. Something to show tomorrow. I am hoping to be very busy at HeroesCon. :) Except anyone want to get together in the Westin Hotel and hang one night? They have a pretty nice bar and comfy chairs. :)

Nice use of the copic markers, it came together rather well, and Babs is a fave of mine.

I'm sure we'll be hanging at the Westin bar/lounge area for Heroes since we have a room there this year again.

Pretty good so far. I once was in a class that was teaching copic markers. Our teacher? Adam Hughes.

Off topic: is this for sale?

The first time that you have worked with Copic Markers and this the result???

Folks, hang on to your seats, it looks like VERY good things are to come from Gene and his Copic Markers!

Patman - Thanks. I have since learned that the paper I was using wasn't as suited for it as I hoped. But I have remedied that. Westin Bar it is then. I'm staying there as well.

Landroid - Thanks! Sounds like you had a good teacher for the markers. I used Letraset markers in school but never really took to them. But I have grown to enjoy the challenges that other mediums bring so I have tackled the Copics. Off topic: Yup. :)

Royce - You are not drinking off me. Just forget it. ;)

Brian - Don't listen to Royce. There will be no drinks ON me. :)

Shane - Gotta love the Heavenly Beds at the Westin! Thanks!

Gary - Thanks for your enthusiasm! I will strive to justify it. :)

OK, there goes the idea of Jell-O shooters on Gene. We will have to find a suitable stand-in for that little activity. Is Megan Fox busy that weekend??

Royce - You just reminded me. One of the trailers at IMAX was for Transformers 2. If you have seen the trailer, you know the shot of Megan Fox leaning over a motorcycle? Or car? Or whatever?
