Death in Autumn

Here she is inked and painted. I wanted to draw her a bit different than others. I went a little more "mod" with her hair and clothes. And skipped the usual skulls or black background that is normally done. Thus, (I like to use the word "thus" at least once a week) the falling leaves design. Plus it is a nice bright background to make her stand out. This is done in ink and watercolor on 11" x 17" Canson Bristol Board.

I have been toying with putting the latest pieces on eBay. Since I am not going to anymore conventions this year, I am starting to get a nice little stack of artwork. I will post here if and when I do put these up for sale in case anyone is interested. I hope everyone in the US is enjoying the long weekend. :)

No more conventions? I assume you have made a decision regarding Heroes then. I know you said the liklihood was slim, but I had hoped Slim wouldn't leave town. :(

Disappointing to hear, but of course we realize that "life is what happens while you're making other plans."

Your version of Death does look "cheerier" than the normally depicted version. I like it.

"Thus" is a good word o throw around. I also like using "ergo" as another substitute from time to time.

Please do let us know about sales on the blog. We would all like a chance at some of these beauties I am sure.

Craig - Thanks. I won't be making it to Heroes this year. A very big job I am doing will be in its final proofs around that time and I just can't get away.

Starlady - I will be making a version of this piece for CILM. As is, it is a copyrighted character of DC Comics. I will be removing her earring and the pattern under her eye. I will come up with something to keep her interesting though. Thanks!

Royce - I won't be making it to Heroes. A project I am working on started later than planned and it runs right into Heroes. Maybe next year. Glad you like the Death piece. And I will let everyone know when I put them for sale. Thanks!
