It's been a long weekend. Normally that's good but I worked most of the weekend. And every so often I would look up at the time and think about what was going on at the Pittsburgh ComiCon. I miss doing that show. Always a good time and the people that attend that show are always great. I plan on going next year. I've been told my spot will be there for me. :)
This little sketch says it all. Time for some rest and to watch the episode of Battlestar Galactica that I missed Friday night. This was done in pencil in my sketchbook with some Photoshop colors to top it off. Good night everyone.

Hmmmm..... Girl laying back on a bed of pillows relaxing and now cuddling up with her Teddy-Bear. (Roosevelt WISHES he was that lucky!)

I see a theme here. A VERY tired Gene Gonzales! Both of these are a s cute as can be by the way!

Go to sleep Gene. Battlestar will still be on the TiVo when you awaken. :)

Starlady85 - Thank you for the comment (and hugs too). Quite a few of the pieces you will see here in a rough form will someday be finished pieces. Normally I don't throw color on them but this one spoke to me and said "color me!" Gotta listen when the art talks. :)

Royce - I tried to go to sleep after Galactica. Actually went to bed by 10pm. But was still awake at 11 so I got up and started working again. Insomnia is the bane of my existence sometimes. :) Glad you liked the girl. I am actually going to go with a "Pillow Theme" for some pin-ups now, thanks!

Yeah, we missed you at Pittsburgh! You were not the only one to cancel out, there was a long, long list of folks. Show was lightly attended on Friday and things "broke loose" on Saturday. Speaking of Battlestar Galactia, Aaron Douglas (the Chief) was at the show. A really nice guy to talk too. Ironic to me that the hotel did not have the Sci-Fi channel, so I could not see the BSG episode on Friday. Aaron probably did not mind (he was staying at the hotel) since he was going to the Penguins Rangers hockey game.

About the girl and the teddy bear, I think it would make a great cover for the 2009 Pittsburgh Comic con program cover!

Great stuff as always.
You were missed in Pittsburgh. The list of canceled guests was not as long as Gary implied. Friday was slow and a lot of guests were late getting there. I think the penguin playoff game and construction on parkway had something to do with it. I was there all 3 days, Saturday was busy and Sunday was laid back. I got some great art but sadly no Gonzales year I hope. :)
