HEROESCON! June 7-9 2013

As you are reading this, I am somewhere between Florida and Charlotte, NC. Riding shotgun is Joe Pekar. On our way to HeroesCon 2013! And I'm excited to be going again. If you are going to be at the convention, drop by and say HI.

I will be in Artist Alley at table number AA-1421. Joe will be at AA-1420. See the map below.

If you ordered an Advance Sketch, they are all done and can be picked up Friday. Also I will be starting a new list at the show. I will be posting sketches I do at the show on Twitter. So if you want to see them as I finish, make sure to follow me on Twitter, @genegonzales.

Magik & Mini MegaCon!

It's a real shame I didn't do this warm up sketch Thursday because yesterday was my 666th post on this blog. Instead Magik has to settle with post #667. :) This was done using Copic Markers on 11" x 17" Canson Drawing paper. One day I need to order a blender. I imagine it would make some things easier.

Mini-MegaCon that starts tomorrow in Orlando, Florida. If you are going to be attending the show, look for me in Artist Alley at Yellow 9. It is a corner spot as you enter that row.I will be bringing original art, prints, and supplies to do commissions. Also, my 2009 sketchbook will be available at my table. See you there!

Mini MegaCon - Advance Sketch List is Open

ADVANCE SKETCH LIST

Mini-MegaCon in Orlando, Florida is four weeks away and I thought I would open up an advance sketch list for those that are interested. This worked pretty good for HeroesCon back in June for everyone so maybe we can do it again.

Here's the deal: If you are sure you are attending the Mini-MegaCon and would like a sketch from me, send me an email with your request(s) with "Sketch List" in the subject line. My inked sketches start at $50.00 whether they are in your book or on the 11"x17" bristol board I bring with me. Because it is a two day show, I will not be doing color work at the show. But there is a chance of me getting some color requests done before the show and bringing them with me. If you are interested in something in color, let me know and I will get you a price.

The rules are simple: You don't have to send any money in advance, you just have to attend the convention and can pay there. If you are having a friend pick up the art for you, please let me know who it will be and make sure they have the money. That was the only hiccup at HeroesCon. If I am doing your request on my paper, most likely the art will be done before the show so please plan on picking it up the first day of the show. I don't know how many advance requests I will take, it really depends on the type of requests. If you have any questions, you can ask here or in an email.

Convention News!

It's official, I will be a guest at this years FX INTERNATIONAL SHOW in Orlando. I will be in Creators Alley, but as of right now I do not know where my space will be. As we get closer, I will let everyone know. As always, I do start up a small sketch list ahead of time. It gives me something to do as soon as I sit down at the show. So if you are going to be attending the show, and would like a sketch from me, let me know.
