Wonder Woman © DC Comics
This is the last of the 12 Conventionless Convention Sketches. (Yes, it says 11 in the title but Batgirl and Robin were two combined into one piece.) Wonder Woman was the request from Michael (http://swanshadowblog.com). Michael wanted to combine a couple of different eras of Diana's costume. The skirt from her first appearance with the lace up slippers of the 1950's costume. And it all works. I personally liked drawing the eagle breast plate again, instead of the stylized (and marketable) "WW". Going back to the early Diana made me want to draw her joyful. So I put her on Paradise Island playing bullets and bracelets with her Amazon sisters. She is going to be happy. :)
Thanks again for the commission Michael. I hope it is a welcome addition to your Wonder Woman gallery.
And once again, thanks to everyone who commissioned a piece from me for this latest run of Conventionless Convention Sketches. All were fun for me, and I hope fun for you.
For those going to MegaCon at the end of the month, I will be posting details for the MegaCon Advance Sketch List in the next day or two.
This is Post #1241

She is really awesome, Gene-! So cute-! *I prefer the eagle rather than the 'W,' too, btw.
She really does look happy here. Love this rendition and the costume pieces work together.
Gene,
I thought I'd wait until the last of the sketches to praise glory on the beauty of each piece. I especially enjoyed the Batgirl/Robin and the Wonder Woman pieces. Shame I couldn't get in this group, but funds are a little tight-- but wait till next time...!

She looks simply fantastic!
Wonder-ful finish to a great batch!
Thanks, Gene, for this wonderfully welcome addition to my "Temple of Diana"!
Your take on everyone's favorite Amazon is everything I want her to be -- fresh, energetic, lively, strong, and fun. Plus, you're always such a treat to work with! :)
Much appreciated and greatly enjoyed, as always!
Thanks for the kind words everyone! I really do appreciate it.
And Michael, really fun to see and hear the video of you in voice-over mode. Smoooooth!
