Sketchbook Monday - The Atom

The Atom © DC Comics

Today has been rough creatively. Drawing has been an unpleasant grind. These kind of days happen from time to time but I always have to work through it. What might take three hours to do takes six. But it still gets done. I'm hoping tomorrow is better and smoother.

The image above is from my sketchbook. I drew this about an hour ago. I had been reading an Atom story from the 1970s and always liked his telephone trick. I think they once described him as "swimming" with the electrons in the phone signal. So I played with that idea in the pose.

This was done in my sketchbook with a Blue Col-Erase pencil.

This is Post #1254

Ah, what a nice power to have. For the price of a phone call, you can travel anywhere in the world! But don't forget to leave the radio playing back home to propel you along the way!

John - I feel lucky I have very few of these days. Mostly when I don't get enough sleep.

Royce - I wonder how it works in this digital age? :)

I think I bring a lot of them on myself.
