Just a quickie for this morning's warm up. This took about 30 minutes. I added a scan of my watercolor paper to the image for a bit of texture. If you have my latest sketchbook, you have seen me do this effect before.
The sketch was done in my sketchbook with a red Col-Erase pencil and the colors were added in Photoshop.

That is really, really nice.
Fantastic color job! And I like the special guest appearance of Tiki guy in the background and Royce the crab in the foreground!

Thanks Shane!
Thanks Gary. This could be the morning after yesterdays party. Tiki and Royce the crab were in yesterdays post too. :)
a print of this would look great framed on a wall in my house... just saying.
Amazing what you can do in 30 minutes. Very nice.
Shane - A print? Hmmmmm
Craig - Thanks. Sometimes the work just flows. :)
I like the wistfulness in this sketch. The dancer looking out to see as Mr. Tiki rests from his recent frolic and the crab goes about his business. It's the end of the day and everything is winding down. Kinda sad actually. As the weather turns colder here in NC, and summer slips away, I feel that familiar twang of nostalgia and depression....untl I see that hot babe Gene drew on the beach!!
That was very poetic Royce. :)
